European Catholic Youth Conference

Last weekend Chris took 13 youth to ECYC in Cologne, Germany. The experience of worshipping with fellow brothers and sisters in the largest Cathedral in Germany, was impacting to say the least. This is just one example of how God has been moving to unify the community of Hohenfels.
In a leader meetings, they asked the volunteers from each community to share what sort of things they were excited to be apart of this year, and what sort of things were going to be a struggle. One of our volunteers, Ed, spoke up right away and began sharing the vision that God has given for Hohenfels; Ed shared about our H20 Youth Bible study, which encorporates youth from all denominations on Post. We are having the kids break up into small groups after the teaching to discuss how to be a true disciple. God has brought volunteers, who have a heart for youth, from each of the congregations to facilitate discussion as it pertains to their theology. Others were so impressed with how God has united the divisions of Hohenfels, that this session became almost a question/answer for the people from Hohenfels. God is allowing us to lay the groundwork for other communities on true ecumenical ministry. It is no longer about the Protestants or Catholics, but the focus is on being a Christian, a follower of Christ.
Please pray, because we know the enemy will try to attack and divide this discipleship group. We as Christians want to unite, so the non-Christians will be drawn to a unified church.
