An Exciting Time
Things are beginning to take off and grow. Last week we took 45 students and 5 chaperons to a nearby themepark and had a great time getting to know and develop relationships with kids. It was exciting because so many of them talked about wanting to join Club Beyond and asked how often we do things. We have been praying that God will bring many of these kids around again to the Coffee House and Bible Study. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We saw this trip as a way to get to hang out with the students and earn the right to speak into their lives. Also last week we had a record number of teens at the Bible study. It really energized us, our volunteers and the other students involved. It seems God has really brought some key people to Hohenfels within the last few months and we are waiting to see what God has in store. There is a spirit of expectancy.
As far as the Howard family goes, we have been busy...Hunter is a full-blown two year old...he is into everything, making messes, drawing on the floor with pencils and markers (luckily washable). His favorite saying is "No way, Momma". Things are going great with our German playgroup. We love Mondays...both Hunter and I are picking up more. I think the other Mom's are worried that I am bored, but it is really exhausting to focus for almost 2 hours, first thing Monday morning. I am so tired by the end. We have enjoyed getting to know these other families in our town.
Thanks for all your prayers and support...pray for these kids that we have gotten to know. Pray that we can share God's love with them. Pray for the father's that are deployed overseas. Pray for the families who's father's have returned and are having difficulties adjusting to life away from the warzone. Continue to pray for unity in the Christians at Hohenfels.
