Ahh, the French

Well, today we left Kandern and said goodbye to our new missionary friends. From there, we drove to Strasbourg for the day. We enjoyed seeing the other Notre Dame Cathedral, the Alsacian architecture, and the canal system throughout the city. I lit a candle in the cathedral for a friend of mine and we enjoyed quiche lorraine with crepes for dessert. The students found a lot of souvenirs that they liked for friends and family members back home.

After a few hours in Strasbourg, we headed to Ketsch to the apartment we will be staying in for six days. Upon moving in, we went to the local grocery store and purchased several items for the next few days. The students cooked a spaghetti dinner and we enjoyed fellowshipping for the remainder of the evening. Tomorrow is a relaxation day. Again, not much is open on Sundays in Germany. So, we are going to sleep in and take it easy. Tomorrow morning represents the halfway mark of the trip. I think it has been almost perfect thus far. It hasn’t seemed too long or too short and the students have gotten to see a lot of Europe already.

To recap, we have seen Paris, Mainz, Frankfurt, Marburg, Kandern, Lucerne, and Strasbourg. Looking forward, we will see Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Speyer, Munich, Garmisch, Prague, and Chrastava. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Chris
