A Horse and Carriage Ride
Today, we had a wonderful home cooked breakfast with the missionary family we are staying with in Kandern. After breakfast, we went to work. We wanted to help them for a day with whatever projects they needed help accomplishing. So, we started by digging a garden and planting some seeds. Then, we removed bricks from one location to another. Later, we removed debris from their yard and then fixed some of the small roofs over the windows. By mid-afternoon, we were wiped.
However, after we got cleaned up, we drove to a neighboring village, where a German friend of the missionaries took us on a horse and carriage ride through the countryside and Black Forest. It was amazing! Only in Germany does a family have old carriages and clydesdales to pull you through back roads and walking trails. I don't think the students realize just how blessed they are to be experiencing some of the things we are getting to do and see. Tomorrow, we will head to Strausbourg and end up in Ketsch for the evening. Thanks for your continued prayers.
Chris
